HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – One person has died after a shooting in the Kailua Target parking lot Saturday.
Multiple sources confirmed a body was found in the parking lot, near where the Kailua Fall Festival was taking place from 5 to 10 pm
The Honolulu Police Department said an active murder investigation is underway.
Police said they requested Emergency Medical Services after shots were fired in front of the store.
EMS confirmed it responded to the shooting.
Sources said a performer on stage announced a suspect was arrested and attendees were able to go home.
Details on what led up to the shooting have not been released.
Police ask the public to avoid the area and keep roadways clear to allow first responders to operate safely and efficiently.
