While Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., has not been seen publicly since federal agents searched her Washington, D.C., residence on Monday, her husband, a political consultant, was again spotted leaving their shared rental home this week.
Tim Mynett was seen going out in the neighborhood on Wednesday to walk their Golden Labrador Retriever dog, Teddy, a second time later that same day to take out the trash and a third time to take out his wife’s staff.
“There are rumors that the MP has left the country, is it true? » Mynett was interviewed during a nighttime walk with Teddy.
“You guys are pissing off all the neighbors around here, man,” he told Fox News Digital when approached about developments this week, including President Donald Trump’s intervention on the saga.
One of Omar’s congressmen was captured the same day, bringing two large bags from the Burger King fast food chain to the couple’s home. Security escorted her to the door and stood outside the house after she entered with the meal.

Rumors swirled that Omar fled the country following the raid by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) as part of a criminal fraud investigation into the Somali-born congresswoman’s immigration documents, as first reported by Fox News Digital.
Omar’s cell phone and passport were reportedly seized by federal authorities during the search.
The congresswoman’s staff helped adjust her birth year from 1981 to 1982 at the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library, according to reporters. Omar obtained citizenship automatically thanks to her father’s naturalization since she would then have been 17 years old. If Omar had been born in 1981, she would have been 18, meaning the validity of her citizenship could be at risk because she was no longer a minor.
The altered date of birth was published throughout his tenure in the Minnesota House of Representatives and for months after his term in Congress began.
Asked about the federal investigation earlier this week, Mynett told Fox News Digital that he had “no concerns” about what federal authorities would find out about his wife by investigating her immigration background.
“My wife came here when she was 12 as a child war refugee,” Mynett said. “No worries.”
Her comments to Fox News Digital come after Omar’s relatives were reportedly subpoenaed as part of HSI’s investigation into the congresswoman’s immigration documents. At least two of Omar’s relatives have been summoned, including Sahra Noor, Omar’s sister.
ILHAN OMAR’S HUSBAND INSISTS HE HAS ‘NO CONCERNS’ AMID FEDERAL IMMIGRATION INVESTIGATION
Fox News Digital asked Mynett about President Donald Trump publicly questioning Omar’s net worth by alleging on Truth Social that her accountant may have reported fraudulent money when his previous financial disclosure indicated the couple’s shared net worth was $30 million.
“Why did Ilhan Omar not long ago declare a net worth of up to $30 million, then immediately say, “Oh, I made a mistake! It’s actually $100,000. » Could it be that his well-paid accountant actually reported the money that was stolen during his fraudulent activities in Minnesota? Trump posted to Truth Social on Tuesday.
“Where did her house come from, where did her cars come from, and what about her nice place in Washington, DC? I didn’t know that congressmen and women made that much money, but I do know that her husband, according to reports and beliefs, makes next to nothing, so it can’t be from him. How many people has she brought into our country illegally from Somalia? America wants answers, and we want them, NOW!
Mynett is at the center of another investigation into Omar – this time focusing on his finances.
Following Monday’s HSI raid, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said Tuesday that her office is also investigating Omar’s financial disclosures regarding his and Mynett’s joint net worth reporting.

Scrutiny of Omar’s finances intensified after his 2024 financial disclosure to Congress listed business interests associated with Mynett valued at between $6 million and $30 million. Omar’s office later said the numbers were incorrect and amended the filing.
The most significant change in the documents concerned Mynett’s assets. His reported stakes in his winery and venture capital consulting firm, which were previously valued in the millions of dollars, are now listed as worthless.
In Omar’s 2024 financial disclosure filings, Mynett’s share of his winery was valued between $1 million and $5 million, and his share in the venture capital consulting firm was valued between $5 million and $25 million. Now his holdings are both listed at $0.
Omar’s office previously told Fox News Digital that Mynett had partners in both companies and said the earlier disclosure mistakenly reflected the companies’ total equity rather than his stake. The office also said the initial filing listed assets without accounting for liabilities.

Officials noted that the investigation into Omar’s financial disclosures is unrelated to the search of his home.
