Emmy winner Alexander Skarsgård shocked red carpet onlookers by wearing a shirt with a suggestive message.
The 50-year-old Swedish actor promoted his steamy new film Wicker at a special screening in New York on October 13. For the occasion, he wore a tailored black suit and white T-shirt, a casual but appropriate look. But the text on the shirt was the real star of the show: in black text, it read “Lick my worm.”
Stylist Harry Lambert created the look and London-based artist Flora Miles made the bespoke printed shirt.

Stellan Skarsgård’s son Skarsgård clearly loved the look.
In a behind-the-scenes Instagram video from the event, he could be heard saying, “make sure they see the worm,” as he adjusted his suit jacket before posing for the cameras with his fellow cast members.

“(It’s) from my next collection,” Skarsgård jokingly said of the shirt to Vanity Fair. “I’m going to capitalize on this shit.”
Many fans were entertained by Alexander Skarsgård’s outfit choice.
Some fans were shocked by the print, but many didn’t mind the “weird” shirt choice.
“He makes even a trashy shirt look sexy. Lol,” one fan wrote under Entertainment Tonight’s Instagram post.

The eye-catching print didn’t come out of nowhere.
“Lick my worm” is a quote from the film, spoken by Olivia Colman’s character when the townspeople harass her.
Colman plays an outcast fisherwoman who pays a basket maker to make her a wicker husband. Skarsgård portrays his envious new partner.

Some fans said Skarsgård was doing her press tour the right way by wearing unconventional outfits that drew attention to her appearances.
Just under a week before revealing his printed shirt, Skarsgård attended the screening of his new film at the London Film Festival in a gold Saint Laurent suit, which he paired with see-through dress shoes.
The outfit went viral as commenters called her open-toe shoes “horrible.”

In 2016, he appeared at the MTV Music Awards in a suit jacket but without his suit pants, wearing only boxers.
