West Palm Beach attorney Spencer Kuvin, who represents the plaintiffs, said the lengthy complaint was intentionally detailed.
“We wanted the courts to understand the full scope of this operation,” Kuvin told WPTV.

In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs allege, from 2017 to January 2019, “…that Gaetz and Greenberg coordinated recruitment, payments, drugs, and travel to obtain commercial sex acts…”
Gaetz left Congress in 2024. He has previously denied any wrongdoing related to the allegations investigated by the House Ethics Committee.
Greenberg, the former Seminole County tax collector, is currently serving a federal prison sentence following his conviction in a separate criminal case.
Kuvin told WPTV that the plaintiffs’ attorneys believe the communications and other evidence, particularly text messages, referenced in the complaint support their allegations.
“We believe the text messages that we have are incredibly damaging to Mr. Gaetz and Mr. Greenberg,” Kuvin said.
The allegations contained in a civil complaint are allegations made by the plaintiffs and have not been proven in court.
WPTV’s Ashley Glass contacted Gaetz, Greenberg and others named in the lawsuit after it was filed.
Below is the statement we received from Gaetz:
“I look forward to hearing the plaintiffs’ depositions because much of the conduct alleged against me is false. The trial rests almost exclusively on a congressional committee report that did not allow me to confront my accusers. Now I will finally have that chance.”
WPTV will provide updates and responses as they become available.
