Taika Waititi’s Klara and the sun premiered at the 70th BFI London Film Festival at the BFI Southbank in London, England, and its stars came out to celebrate.
Amy Adams, Jenna Ortega, Rachel Foreman, Aran Murphy, Natasha Lyonne and more were on the red carpet. They were also joined by Florence Pugh, Rita Ora, Taika Waititi, among others.

Klara and the sun is a dystopian science fiction film that will be released in theaters on October 23 via Sony Pictures Releasing. Waititi directed the film, co-wrote it with Dahvi Waller, and it is based on Kazuo Ishiguro’s 2021 novel of the same name.
The film is set in a dystopian future where advances in genetic engineering have divided humans into isolated social classes; an android named Klara attempts to bond with Josie, a sick girl she was purchased for.
Jenna Ortega plays Klara, Mia Tharia plays Josie, Amy Adams plays Josie’s mother Chrissie, and Aran Murphy plays Josie’s best friend Rick. The cast also includes Natasha Lyonne, Steve Buscemi, Rachel House, Harry Greenwood and Sophia Bryant-Taukiri.

David Heyman, Garrett Basch and Waititi produced Klara and the sun. Executive producers include Gary Barber, Alex G. Scott, Jeffrey Clifford, Rosie Alison and author Kazuo Ishiguro.
