9-1-1 Nashville Season 2 Fiona Lowe Tribute Explained

“9-1-1: Nashville” returned Thursday for its second season, ending with a touching tribute to Fiona Lowe, who died on September 29. She was only 13 years old.

The broadcast of the episode ended with an on-screen dedication reading “In Loving Memory”, accompanied by a recent photograph of the deceased. Fiona Lowe’s death was ruled a suicide, according to a medical examiner.

Fiona Lowe was the daughter of Chad Lowe, executive producer of “9-1-1: Nashville.” He also directed five episodes of the ABC series, including the season 2 premiere. And his involvement in the ‘9-1-1’ franchise goes far beyond ‘Nashville.’ He has already directed three episodes of ‘9-1-1’ and six episodes of ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’. He also returned to the latter, playing Owen’s ex-brother Robert Strand, alongside his real brother Rob Lowe.

Fiona Lowe’s family calls her ‘the light of our lives’

“She was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents,” the statement continued. “In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating to our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”

The Lowe family concludes their statement by addressing anyone who may be in a similar situation: “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
