The iPhone Duo is almost here, so if you want to get a head start on accessories for Apple’s new model, here are our top recommendations.
Apple Pencil for handwritten notes, sketches, etc.

iPhone Duo is the first iPhone to support Apple Pencil, letting you take handwritten notes, doodles, and more.
The Apple Pencil will be supported on the iPhone Duo later this year via a software update. But when support arrives, Apple says it will require an Apple Pencil (USB-C). No other pencil model is compatible.
The iPhone Duo will let you use the Apple Pencil on both its exterior and interior displays. The design of Apple’s first foldable computer even draws inspiration from the proportions of a standard A-series paper laptop.
Power adapter for fast charging iPhone Duo

iPhone Duo supports fast charging, allowing you to recharge up to 50% in just 20 minutes.
But to get the fastest charging speeds, you’ll need the right power adapter.
Apple’s 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max supports fast charging for the iPhone Duo, and a great third-party alternative is Anker’s 100W Power Brick.
Like other models, the iPhone Duo does not come with a power adapter in the box, only a USB-C cable. Most of us have 20W chargers, but if you want to get a power adapter that supports the fastest iPhone Duo charging, these two products are my recommendations.
MagSafe car mount for on the go

One of my top iPhone accessory recommendations is ESR’s MagSafe Car Mount. I’ve been using it for years and it should prove a great accessory for the iPhone Duo as well.
With a MagSafe car mount, your iPhone has a secure place to stay while you’re on the go. MagSafe provides a powerful magnetic attachment and you can attach the mount to your air vent so it’s visible and easy to reach as needed.
I like to combine my iPhone with CarPlay when I’m driving, so that in Apple Maps I can get the navigation map on my vehicle’s CarPlay screen while the iPhone displays my complete turn-by-turn directions. I expect it to be even better with the iPhone Duo’s large screen.
iPhone Duo Cases

If you want to purchase an affordable iPhone Duo case, there are already plenty of third-party options available.
Buying an iPhone Duo case not only allows you to prepare in advance for your Duo’s arrival, but it’s also a good way to preview the size and shape of the foldable.
I haven’t tested these cases, but here are some third-party options that interest me, as well as Apple’s first-party offerings.
Home cameras for iPhone Duo Sleep mode

The iPhone Duo will include a powerful upgrade to the iPhone’s current sleep functionality. When iPhone Duo is in “standing” mode, it can display various standby views even when not charging.
These sleep options include “Home Camera” and “Home Modular” views, both of which provide access to smart home accessories.
The Home Camera view should be especially useful for keeping track of security cameras throughout your home at a glance. Here are my recommended HomeKit compatible cameras.
Bonus: AirPods Pro 3

This isn’t necessarily Duo-specific, but if you don’t yet own AirPods or are sticking with an older model, the AirPods Pro 3 are my favorite iPhone accessory.
I use my AirPods Pro 3 all day, every day, and I especially rely on the excellent noise cancellation to help me focus at work. The latest features are all valuable additions, and currently the AirPods Pro 3 are on sale at Amazon.
