Tyler Ulrich, a 21-year-old football player at Southern Nazarene University, died Thursday. He had suffered a traumatic injury five days earlier.
The injury occurred during a game against Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas.
There are no details on the injury suffered by Ulrich, who played safety at SNU. Via KOCO, Southern Nazarene play-by-play announcer Dave Myrick said Ulrich was on the field after the game, but he I couldn’t tell what happened.
This is an unimaginable tragedy for Ulrich’s family and his team. Saturday’s game at Southwestern State University was canceled.
