Taylor Swift made her grand entrance on the red carpet at the Academy Museum, where she joined a fleet of A-list acts for an evening of fundraising for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. His look? An ice blue strapless dress with an oversized bow at the bodice and exaggerated hips. Honestly, maybe one of her best looks?
Taylor is confirmed to perform at the gala, and while her set list is secret, there’s speculation she might sing it Toy Story 5 single “I Knew It, I Knew You” (especially amid Oscar buzz for the song) — and she was also heard soundchecking “Blank Space.”
Amy Homma, director and president of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection, released a statement about the performance, saying, “Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world. We are delighted to welcome her to this year’s gala and look forward to her performance to cap a wonderful evening honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema.”
Taylor wasn’t joined by her husband, Travis Kelce, for tonight’s gala and performance, but that might have something to do with the fact that the Chiefs will play a home game at Arrowhead Stadium against the Chargers tomorrow!
