Amanda Seyfried opened up about how things are going after her split from husband Thomas Sadoski two months ago. The 40-year-old actress shared some thoughts on dealing with separation in public during her appearance at the Academy Museum Gala on Oct. 17 in Los Angeles.

“It’s interesting, yeah, it’s interesting,” she told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet after being asked to do interviews following the announcement of his separation. “But, for good reason. I don’t know, I think everything that happens is meant to happen (and) everything, everyone in your life is meant to be in your life. It just, sort of, and I’m here tonight.”
She continued, “I’m supposed to be here, and I can go home tomorrow and I’m supposed to be home and so on.”
“What am I saying,” she later commented in a clip of the interview on Instagram.

Seyfried wore a glamorous black strapless dress with a square neckline and a delicate bow throughout the floor-length skirt, along with a delicate diamond necklace with a vine motif and a dark gemstone pendant. She shared a clip from her red carpet appearance on her Instagram Stories, writing: “I went to LA with @tiffanyandco for a few hours, yes I did.”

Seyfried and Sadoski announced their separation after nearly 10 years of marriage in a joint statement to People In September. “We have been separated for some time, and it turned out that this was the right decision for us and our family unit,” they said. “We have each other forever, and it’s GOOD.”
