The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers will close out NFL Week 6 in prime time on Sunday, with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field.
The Cowboys enter Week 6 at 2-3, but with the NFC East wide open, as each of the teams in the division have struggled. The New York Giants lost 34-27 to the New Orleans Saints early in Sunday’s window, while the Eagles fell to the Carolina Panthers without quarterback Jalen Hurts, who ended up on injured reserve this week with a blood clot in his leg. As the defense continues to struggle this season, the pressure falls on Dak Prescott & Co. on offense to make some magic.

The Packers enter this two-game matchup with the Minnesota Vikings undefeated after a slow start to the season. They have bounced back in a big way, however, with a dominant division win over the Chicago Bears last week, where quarterback Jordan Love showed off his skills with the deep ball, with Christian Watson and Matthew Golden as key weapons in the passing game.
Missing this game is star defensive end Micah Parsons, who continues his recovery from a torn ACL last season. Although he was targeting a return in Week 6 against his former team, he has not yet been activated to the roster and has yet to practice with the team this season.

Dak Prescott almost connected with CeeDee Lamb there on third-and-long, but Lamb couldn’t quite do it.
So we have another Dallas punt coming up. It’s been a rough start for the Cowboys.

He made up for the penalty for provocation. Matthew Golden, several plays later, gets the 9-yard touchdown pass.
The Packers lead 7-0 early.

Matthew Golden was called for taunting after this play, but the Packers are moving here. They are back near the Dallas 25.

Jordan Love has no problem connecting at third so far tonight. The Cowboys defense once again struggled early on at Lambeau.

Meanwhile, KaVontae Turpin heads to the locker room after kickoff.

The Cowboys converted on their first third down of the night, but will have to punt after Javonte Williams puts it in on third-and-short.
The Packers will now take over at their own 10.

The Cowboys won the toss and elected to receive, so Dak Prescott will take the field first.

Both teams became a little agitated as they left the field after pregame warmups. Cowboys offensive tackle Broderick Jones was getting into the play with some Packers defensive linemen, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.
But Joey Porter Jr. was also among the Cowboys involved in the melee, possibly also linebacker Jaishawn Barham and tight end Jake Ferguson, ESPN’s Todd Archer said.

The Dallas Cowboys bring one of the NFL’s worst defenses into Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, ranking 30th in the league in yards allowed.
This led Dallas to bring in veteran defensive coach Mike Pettine as a lead assistant to help defensive coordinator Christian Parker. Pettine had Parker on his staff when he was DC of the Packers.
The Cowboys could perform better against a Green Bay offense that ranks last in rushing. Even if Dallas is last against the run, which unit will concede? The Packers are third in total passing yards, while the Cowboys defense ranks 21st in that category, which could be the difference in this game.

Joey Porter Jr. was listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game, leading to some controversy — or at least skeptical grumbling from disgruntled Steelers fans, speculating that the cornerback might once again be sitting out because he hadn’t been given a new contract.
However, Porter was not among the Cowboys’ inactives and is expected to play after missing the Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After being traded from Pittsburgh to Dallas, Porter played nearly half of the team’s defensive snaps (25 of 52) against the Houston Texans.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was asked by Dallas’ 105.3 The Fan on Friday if the team was concerned Porter could stay off the field until he gets a new deal.
“I think he’s all in. He wants to be out there,” Jones said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “He was sick, he couldn’t play last week because of the flu. But he obviously played in our first game and I think he’s excited about what he can do to help us win against the Packers.”
