Here’s how the iPhone Duo’s battery capacity compares to other iPhones

After pre-orders opened for the iPhone Duo, Apple posted an EU regulatory document online that finally revealed the true capacity of the iPhone Duo’s battery: 4,883 mAh. Here’s how it compares to other iPhones.

4883 mAh is definitely on the high end of the battery spectrum, although it’s by no means the best.

The iPhone Duo includes two battery cells: one of 2,962 mAh and another of 1,921 mAh, for a total of 4,883 mAh. That puts it pretty much exactly between the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which offer 4,288 mAh and 5,567 mAh batteries, respectively.

Comparison of iPhone Duo batteries

Compared to the rest of the recent iPhone lineup (eSIM versions, which feature larger battery cells than physical SIM versions), here’s where the iPhone Duo ranks:

AbilityDifferenceVideo playback hours (from Apple)
iPhone 18 Pro Max5567mAh+14%45 hours
iPhone 17 Pro Max5088mAh+4%39 hours
iPhone Duo4883mAh–44 hours on outdoor display

iPhone 16 Pro Max4685mAh-4%33 hours
iPhone 18 Pro4288mAh-12%36 hours
iPhone 17 Pro4252mAh-13%33 hours
iPhone 17e4005mAh-18%26 hours
iPhone173692mAh-24%30 hours
iPhoneAir3149mAh-36%27 hours

Overall, the iPhone Duo has one of the largest battery capacities on an iPhone, surpassed only by the two most recent iPhones Pro Max. Compared to any other device, the Duo will have a physically larger battery – although it’s worth noting that battery life will be lower if you use the larger interior screen very frequently.

Are you buying an iPhone Duo? Are you excited to receive yours, or have you also had an unfortunate pre-order experience? Let us know in the comments.
