U.S. Chamber of Commerce backs Paxton in closely watched U.S. Senate contest

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate.

Paxton faces Democratic Rep. James Talarico in the Lone Star State’s U.S. Senate race.

“The choice is clear in Texas. Attorney General Ken Paxton has been a champion of free enterprise and pro-growth policies that allow American businesses to thrive. He has opposed federal government overreach, helped preserve a low-tax environment, and defended the energy sector against heavy-handed mandates,” said Neil Bradley, executive vice president and policy director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“Paxton understands that true economic prosperity depends on a fair and predictable justice system. We look forward to working together on meaningful legal reform that protects job creators from lawsuit abuses and red tape,” Bradley added.
