A professional python hunter who doubles as a professional alligator wrangler, according to his Instagram bio, helped catch “the longest living reticulated python ever captured in Puerto Rico.”

Working with Proyectos Retic, a group of python hunters in Puerto Rico who collect data and specimens on the reticulated python, Snakeaholic aka Kevin Pavlidis helped catch a reticulated python measuring 18′ 4″ long.

It was not specified whether or not the cat survived the ordeal. These hunters had a snake to catch. But as you can clearly see, this thing can easily take down more than just one pet cat.

The reticulated python is an invasive species in Puerto Rico, just as Burmese pythons are, in Snakeaholic’s home state of Florida.
