Live Meta-Earnings: Q3 Meta-Earnings to Test Wall Street’s AI Spending Stomach

The race to develop a widely adopted, highly capable digital assistant is a struggle to control the next popular technology platform. The companies poised for a heated showdown over AI agents also happen to be the two dominant digital advertising companies.

Meta (META), which reports quarterly results Tuesday, and Google (GOOG) are headed for a showdown with AI.

Last month, Meta’s Muse burst onto the scene, delivering the first popular AI agent for normies, and has just hit a download milestone. Historically, the trust that comes with protecting email, calendars, and wallets has not been the purview of Meta.
