Cliff Booth: Brad Pitt’s Netflix Movie Sequel Reveals Action Scenes

Brad Pitt finds himself in some awkward situations upon his return as Cliff Booth for Netflix.

The streaming service has shared new first images for director David Fincher’s upcoming feature film The other misadventures of Cliff Booth. The film will be released in Imax for two weeks worldwide starting November 25 before beginning screening on December 23.

Quentin Tarantino wrote the screenplay for the new film which also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian. Pitt reprises his role as Booth’s voice actor Once upon a time in Hollywoodthe 2019 Sony Pictures hit that Tarantino wrote and directed, starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the original film’s lead role as Western icon Rick Dalton.

Among the scenes revealed in the new images, Pitt is seen donning glasses to maneuver a derby car on a dirt track. Another image shows Pitt and Debicki conversing at a bar, while another photo shows him on a tennis court with Debicki, Caan and Gugino.

The other misadventures of Cliff Booth takes place in 1977, eight years after the events of the first film, and focuses on Booth facing a very different Hollywood. Pitt and Ceán Chaffin are the producers of the new film.

“Let’s just say I know what it feels like to kill someone with a knife,” Pitt says in the trailer posted online last month.

Once upon a time in Hollywood was a major success, raking in $377 million at the worldwide box office and winning two Oscars from 10 nominations, including Pitt’s first-ever acting win. He remains highly regarded and helped fuel the film careers of supporting actors such as Mikey Madison, Austin Butler, Sydney Sweeney and Margaret Qualley.

Tarantino explained that he chose not to direct the next film because he did not want his next directorial effort, which he intends to be his last, to be a sequel.

“I love this scenario, but I’m still walking the same path that I’ve already been on,” he said last year on the Tarantino Church podcast. “It didn’t really excite me.”
