NBA legend Magic Johnson was one of the many who watched the LA Dodgers’ Game 1 win over the Atlanta Braves in the Division Series.
Tarik Skubal was the star for the Dodgers, as his brilliance in finishing with 7 strikeouts proved to be instrumental in their 5-3 win. It was a tough environment, as the scorching heat made it extremely difficult for the players.

However, with the crowd cheering on, the team pulled through and took the Game 1 win to give themselves the advantage.
Johnson gives special shoutout to Dodgers fans
The official temperature for the game was 100 degrees, which means the weather conditions were adverse for both the players and the fans. However, 50, 194 fans were present at the stadium to cheer for their team, and this led Magic Johnson, the co-owner of the team, to give his special appreciation.
“Cookie and I are very happy with Game 1 of the MLB NLDS against the Atlanta Braves – our Dodgers won 5-3 today! A big thank you to all the Dodgers fans for coming out to Dodger Stadium, where it was over 100 degrees. This was an 11-year low for playoff attendance at the Dodgers Stadium, but the reason was the extreme weather warning in Los Angeles that has been in place for a few days now.
“Officially 100° in Downtown Los Angeles. If you’re heading to the Dodger Game or anywhere outdoors make sure you have plenty of water and stay in the shade as much as possible. Expecting a high of around 103. Also, please don’t leave people or pets in cars,” tweeted the official X account of National Weather Service Los Angeles.
According to the weather forecast, the temperatures are expected to be high on Monday as well, which is when Game 2 will take place.
