Kourtney Kardashian claimed Kanye West told her to wait to have premarital sex before Travis Barker’s romance.
During Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians,” Kardashian, 47, recalled her ex-brother-in-law’s advice while telling her stepson, Landon Barker, to “wait until you get married” to have sex.
“That’s my advice,” she told the 23-year-old. “Don’t waste your energy.”
A producer then asked Kardashian — in front of Barker — if the couple waited until they were married in 2022 to have sex.
“No, but I remember Kanye saying to me, ‘I feel like God is calling me to tell you that you shouldn’t have random relationships until you’re with your husband,'” she recalled.
“And I didn’t,” Kardashian added.
The reality star began dating Barker, 50, in early 2021 after they became neighbors and close friends.
The couple held several wedding ceremonies in 2022 before welcoming their son, Rocky, the following year.
Kardashian also shares Mason, 16, Penelope, 14, and Reign, 11, with ex Scott Disick, whom she dated on and off from 2006 to 2015.
Barker, meanwhile, shares Landon and daughter Alabama, 20, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. They were married from 2004 to 2008.
During a recent interview on Billy Corgan’s “The Magnificent Others” podcast, Barker compared falling in love with Kardashian to “perfect symmetry.”
“We both wanted this to happen and we knew that if it did, it would probably be like neither of us would have a choice,” the Blink-182 drummer explained. “We would just be overwhelmed by anything and fall madly in love. And we did.”
Barker also pointed out that he “already liked (Kardashian) as a friend,” which made things easier when things got romantic between the two.
West, meanwhile, was married to Kourtney’s sister Kim Kardashian for eight years. The exes share four children: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.
Last year, Kim revealed the “last straw” in their marriage before filing for divorce in February 2021.
“There were a lot of things I didn’t want to deal with,” the SKIMS founder, 46, said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in October 2025.
“I didn’t like the feeling of someone talking bad about my kids, my grandmother, my aunts — all those feelings,” Kim added. “If anyone feels that way, then we shouldn’t be together.”
West, 49, has been married to model Bianca Censori since 2022, while Kim is dating British racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
