10 Facts You Need to Know Before Week 7

  1. Over the past 3 weeks, CJ Stroud is the sixth best QB in fantasy football.
    1. For the season, Stroud ranks 4th in passing yards per game.
    2. And he is in the top 10 in pass attempts.
    3. The Texans rank 25th in rushing attack.
    4. With the Texans defense not being as dominant either…Stroud should continue to have a weekly advantage at QB1 in good matchups.
  2. So far this season, Bo Nix has an average target depth of 5.4 meters.
    1. This is not a typo.
    2. In fact, over the last 2 games, Nix has only completed 4 passes that traveled at least 7 air yards.
    3. That’s not a fact, but there is simply no way Nix or any Broncos WR could be a viable fantasy option under this current offensive scheme.
  3. During week 6, Mike Washington had a season-high 33% catch rate.
    1. He had just one fewer rushing attempt than Ashton Jeanty.
    2. Jeanty has now been held to less than 3 yards per carry in 4 of the last 5 games.
    3. His two lowest snap rates of the season both came in the last 2 weeks.
    4. Maybe he’s not fully healthy, but if Jeanty remains this ineffective, don’t be surprised to see Washington take on a bigger role in that backfield.
  4. In the 3 complete games Jalen Coker And Tetairoa McMillan have played together this season, Coker has seen 4 more targets than McMillan.
    1. He scored 24 more fantasy points.
    2. In fact, dating back to last season and including the playoffs, Coker has dominated McMillan in 7 of the last 9 games they have played together.
  5. AJ Brown had as many catches in Week 6 (3) as drops (3).
    1. He converted 10 targets into 27 yards.
    2. However, his 33% target share led the team.
    3. He completed 97% of the routes.
    4. I buy.
  6. In his first match back from IR, Omar Cooper saw a 24% target share, a team high.
    1. He completed 85% of the routes.
    2. He had the 11th highest usage rating among WRs in Week 6.
    3. It is still available in over 50% of leagues.
  7. In his early days with the Texans, Marvin Harrison Jr. played 11 offensive snaps.
    1. And he only ran 9 routes.
    2. However, it was targeted on 44% of these routes.
    3. And his 12.5% target share was actually the highest of any game this season.
    4. I’m not ready to put him back on fantasy rosters yet, but at least it seems like the Texans are more committed to using him than the Cardinals.
  8. During week 6, Brian Thomas had a routing rate of 30%.
    1. He only played 15 offensive snaps.
    2. Including 0 in the second half.
    3. Over his last 4 matches, his target share is 6%.
    4. Dude. SIX PERCENT.
    5. If you haven’t already, you can drop Brian Thomas.
  9. In 3 of 4 matches since Brock Bowers income, Michael Mayer experienced a route rate above 70%.
    1. In these games, Mayer averages a target share of 18%.
    2. And 15.0 PPG.
    3. The Raiders rank 32nd in WR target share this season.
    4. Mayer is a viable streaming option even when Bowers is active.
  10. During weeks 2 and 3, when Puka Nacua was absent, the Rams led the NFL with a tight end target share of 37%.
    1. With Davante Adams expected to miss 6-10 weeks with a hamstring injury, expect the Rams to lean more on their tight ends again.
    2. I prefer Tyler Higbee over Colby Parkinson in the short term, but Terrance Ferguson has the most upside and is worth hiding until he returns from IR.

Here’s Your Xfinity X-Tra Fact for Week 7 Fantasy Football

In Week 6, DeMario Douglas set season highs in target share (27%) and route rate (74%). He has also seen at least one target in the end zone in each of his last 4 games. With Romeo Doubs joining Mack Hollins on IR, Douglas is a legitimate flex option in Week 7 and should be added in leagues where he is still available.
