Sandra Hüller, the German actress nominated for an Oscar for Anatomy of a fall and appeared in this year Hail Mary Project, is part of the all-star cast of Avengers: Apocalypse.
Rumors have been swirling around the actress regarding the Marvel film ever since her name appeared on the British Stunt Register a few weeks ago. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the actress’ involvement. Marvel had no comment.
Although much of the plot still remains hidden in the Eastern European nation of Latveria, it is known for featuring heroes from different eras teaming up to combat the universe-shaking peril of a sorcerer scientist named Doctor Doom.
The feature film, which is in full post-production as it heads toward a December 18 release, stars Robert Downey Jr. as Doom and features the casts of several recent Marvel films, including Thunderbolts*, Fantastic Four: First Steps, Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverthe Thor films and the classic X-Men films. In addition to Downey making his return to Marvel films, there’s Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. (Evans appeared in Deadpool and Wolverine like Johnny Storm.)
Hüller’s role is, of course, kept secret although it is described as a cameo. Rumor has her potentially playing Doom’s mother, a witch, or part of a select group of hooded enchantresses known as the Witches of Latveria. Marvel displayed color-coded Latvian dresses at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Hüller, played by UTA, attracted Hollywood’s attention with his starring roles in both films. Anatomy of a fall And Area of interest. She played a key role as the person who recruits Ryan Gosling to save the planet in Hail Mary Project (and memorably sings Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times,” a song she insisted on during the karaoke sequence.) She was recently seen as Tom Cruise’s sister in Excavator.
