Anthropic is gearing up for one of the largest initial public offerings (IPOs) in history, and its public debut could make waves in the broader stock market. Investors likely won’t have to wait long for the company’s IPO and subsequent fervor.
The company reportedly aims to make its public debut before Thanksgiving, preempting the informal freeze in negotiations that tends to immediately precede and follow the holiday. While it’s possible the IPO could happen in early December, which in itself is a popular window for companies going public, there are signs that the company will have its IPO in mid-November.

Will Anthropic become the largest IPO in history?
In June, Space exploration technologies made its IPO and listed its first batch of publicly available shares at a price of $135 per share. SpaceX’s listing price valued the company at $1.77 trillion, a level that made SpaceX’s IPO the largest ever. While Anthropic was expected to value its shares at a level that would value the company at around $2 trillion and set a new valuation record, that now seems less likely.
Following some recent volatility in the broader market, concerns over valuations in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector, and updates on Anthropic’s business dynamics, many analysts expect the company to debut with a valuation of around $1.5 trillion. Some estimates suggest the company could be valued at $1.2 trillion in its IPO.
According to a leaked draft of the company’s IPO prospectus, Anthropic generated approximately $16.3 billion in revenue during the first half of this year, up from sales of approximately $1.1 billion during the same period last year. This is incredible growth that reflects the growing demand for the company’s Claude AI software suite, which offers leading tools for coding, analytics and other forms of content generation. On the other hand, the company recorded a loss of around $80.7 billion in the first half of 2026.
Investors also took a measured approach to the company’s third-quarter performance reports, which suggested sales during the period rose 45% on a sequential basis to $16.8 billion. Although this still represents an incredible growth rate, some analysts expected the expansion rate to be even stronger given the momentum seen in the first half of the year.
