Senne Lammens: Another one of those games where everything seems solid – until it isn’t. Massive error for Bournemouth’s third goal. 4
Lény Yoro: Vital permission to deny Evanilson a connection. The situation was under control, but then slipped to gift Bournemouth their second. 5
Harry Maguire: Recovers the captain’s armband that was taken from him by Erik ten Hag. Blocked Rayan’s first chance and rushed forward to try and create at the other end. 6
Ayden Heaven (out of 64, Martinez): Some good moments and a lot of promise but a lot is asked of the 20-year-old. Yellow card for jumping into a tackle. Evanilson jumped out of the way. This proved costly with the resulting free kick leading to Bournemouth’s opener. 5
Diogo Dalot: I advanced well, but the erratic shooting and direct pass to Evanilson in his own half did not inspire confidence. He tried to wake up his team but didn’t have much success. 5
Carlos Baleba (off, 72 years old, Zirkzee): He is not afraid to take risks despite the pressure his team is under. Gives dynamism to United in central areas. 5
Andrei Santos: Tielemans’ poor control forced him into a reckless tackle on Truffert which earned him a yellow card. Not much impact. 4
Amad Diallo (outside 78, Amad): Great skill led him to overtake Truffert but seen too rarely and passes not precise enough. 4
Youri Tielemans (out of 46, Cunha): Not secure enough in possession for the job Carrick wanted him to do. Big disappointment. Half-time stop. 4
Mason mount: I alternated positions with Tielemans and tried to win the ball back. I thought he was crossing for a teammate and he was annoyed when no one moved for it. 5
Bryan Mbeumo: Barely in the game until he was released for a shot late in the first half. Had another effort in the second half. 6
Submarines:
Matheus Cunha (at 46, Tielemans): Introduced at half time and had a curling effort from the edge of the box which was off target. 6
Lisandro Martinez (on 64, Sky): I almost gave in a third goal and scored one at the other end. 6
Joshua Zirkzee (on 72, Baleba): Not even a consolation goal today. 5
