NEWPORT, Ore. — Crews are on scene at a fire at the Pacific Seafood facility located at 203 SW Bay Blvd in Newport, and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 3 (Go Now) evacuation order within a one-mile radius of the area due to concerns about a possible ammonia release.
An evacuation shelter is being established at Sam Case Elementary School, located at 459 NE 12th St. Evacuees are allowed to bring their pets.
The City of Newport advises residents to stay indoors if possible and recommends wearing a mask if they must go out.
