Main rumor: WWE talent unhappy with Saudi Arabia trip
WWE, as of this writing, is moving forward with plans to travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to hold its Crown Jewel premium live event scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026. This is despite the latest US security alert stating that all non-emergency US government employees have been ordered to leave Saudi Arabia due to security risks.
The Iran-backed Houthis have engaged in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacking civilian airports and other critical infrastructure, resulting in civilian casualties and severe travel disruptions. Hostilities could rapidly escalate beyond this immediate area.
Fightful Select notes that they have “heard from a number of staff and talent who are unhappy” with WWE still considering running the show in Riyadh. They of course remain in communication with their hosts.
There is very little time left to make a change, at this point, although there have been rumors of a backup slot. For now, it appears they are moving forward, despite what anyone may think.
