Trump, an arrogant narcissist, on the election: He thinks he ‘turned the tables’ himself

The massive but fragile ego currently occupying the White House threatens to consume all of the nation’s Republican electoral oxygen. Donald Trump is in the midst of a lengthy campaign tour that will take him to overwhelmingly red states that would normally be considered GOP sureties.

In this year’s midterm elections, very little can be considered certain. Especially when it comes to Republican perspectives. Trump seems to be doing his best to sabotage his MAGA party. And if that was his intention, he would have been hugely successful. Even if he struggles to avoid recognizing it.

SEE THIS: DELUSIONAL: Trump was asked about his record approval rating, which he estimates to be 60%

At a press conference Sunday morning, Trump was asked about the election and the agenda he is offering voters in these final days of the campaign. As happens more and more every day, his answers move further and further away from any substantial connection with reality. For example…

Question: What do you think is the main question for voters?

Asset: Well, first of all, I heard we turned it around…I think the rallies turned it around, frankly.

SERIOUSLY? There was no second of everything. And Trump never actually says what he thinks the biggest problems are. He is content with a long and tedious speech on the fabulous results of the Republican candidates thanks to him and his cult gatherings where only his most devoted disciples are present.

Trump specifically mentioned the states of Ohio, Texas, Nebraska and Alaska, all states where Democratic Senate candidates are leading or tied. These are also all states where a Democratic victory would move the seat from red to blue. And for good measure, he insults his own followers in Alaska by calling them so stupid they don’t know what the word is. “holder” means.

Judging by what Trump talks about at his rallies, the main issues for him and his MAGA supporters are defeating Democratic Communists, preventing the gender transition of every American child, building ballrooms and other tributes to himself, cozying up to foreign dictators, suppressing voters, muzzling and insulting the free press, and enriching himself and his cronies.

It’s no wonder Trump couldn’t answer a simple question about his biggest issues. He is maniacal and completely out of touch with the American people. Top issues according to voters include government corruption, the cost of living, Trump’s war against Iran, and Russia’s war against Ukraine (on which Trump sides with Putin). However, on these and every other high-priority issue, Trump is deep underwater.

There is little time left for Trump to truly turn things around. And his pitiful efforts to achieve this simply amount to further promotion of himself. Given his record approval ratings, this doesn’t seem like a particularly effective strategy. But that’s all he has or wants to focus on. And ironically, that’s exactly the strategy Democrats hope he sticks to.
