Gemini Live redesign makes it easier to add context to discussions

Following this month’s other big interface updates, Google is rolling out a little ‘plus’ redesign of Gemini Live on Android that lets you add photos and files more easily.

When you activate Gemini Live in the app, you will notice a new “plus” button on the left. Tapping brings up a familiar carousel with the following actions: Share Screen, Photos, Files, and Drive. Previously, you had to add elements to the Gemini overlay first and then go live.

It’s now an extra step to share your screen, while the camera button has moved next to the waveform. There is no change to the microphone mute switch or close button on the right.

The new plus menu is currently not available when launching Live from the Gemini overlay.

We see this update live with stable version 17.68 of the Google app. The more menu is not yet available on iOS.
