Updates to Apple Creator Studio were announced today, with what the company describes as “powerful new AI features” using a combination of Apple Intelligence and OpenAI models.
Final Cut Pro for Mac will also include built-in MotionVFX to provide a wide collection of visual effects, transitions, and motion graphics tools…
Apple announced the updates alongside the new 14-inch iMac and MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip. This will be a free update for existing subscribers during November.
Final Cut Pro for Mac now includes built-in MotionVFX (a vast collection of visual effects, plug-ins, transitions, templates, and motion graphics tools) as well as seamless editing in Pixelmator Pro. Apple’s curated Content Hub now includes video assets and is available in Final Cut Pro.
Music creators using Logic Pro for Mac benefit from a new Smart Assistant in beta, an improved Stem Splitter that now separates drums, and a redesigned browser that integrates all sounds, with music understanding and even a Splice library.
Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill, which allows creators to transform selected areas of an image into natural language.
Keynote, Pages and Numbers introduce new AI features in beta, including assistants2 which include document context and new Model Context Protocol (MCP) support for workflow automation. They’re also adding stock videos to the Content Hub and new premium themes and templates.
The big news here is MotionVFX for Final Cut Pro.
Final Cut Pro for Mac now integrates MotionVFX directly into the application, giving editors access to thousands of assets, including templates with unique themes, stylish graphics, titles and transitions, as well as rotoscoping, tracking and color grading tools. Editors can also access the Content Hub directly in Final Cut Pro and access a library of Apple-curated videos, photos, and backgrounds to fill in gaps, tweak, or spark new ideas without leaving their workflow.
Also worth noting is the inclusion of OpenAI models alongside Apple Intelligence.
A new intelligent assistant powered by a combination of models developed by Apple and OpenAI joins Logic Pro for Mac, helping creators and producers navigate production workflows, start a new song, set up a vocal track from a single prompt, or fine-tune an active project.
And:
Visual productivity apps benefit from a new generation of intelligent features for subscribers, including a smart assistant, based on Apple and OpenAI models, directly in Keynote, Pages and Numbers. The wizard understands the context of the document to help users accomplish more without leaving their work.
In Keynote, the Smart Assistant helps design, animate, and refine slides. In Pages, he edits, restructures and refines written content. In Numbers, it calculates, visualizes and organizes data; recommends appropriate chart types with one-click preview; and creates custom tables using world knowledge.
New MCP support, built on top of this platform, allows external agents and AI tools to read content, make edits, and execute automated actions directly within Keynote, Pages, and Numbers.
Apple hasn’t announced an exact launch date for the new features, instead saying it will be “next November.”
