This is about the same percentage off as yesterday’s deal. The problem, of course, is that you have to tie up more money in PlayStation Store credit. But if you can change the asking price by $250 and are confident you’ll spend the $290 in PlayStation credit anyway, it’s a worthwhile deal to consider.
If you’re (understandably) not keen on spending that much money, I’m pretty sure Newegg will have another deal on PlayStation Credit before GTA 6 launches.
As a sales editor at IGN, I’m looking for the best possible deal on Grand Theft Auto 6 – almost certainly the biggest game of the year. Since no retailers are offering a direct discount on GTA 6, the best way I’ve found to save money is to buy a PlayStation or Xbox gift card when it’s discounted at Newegg.

This is almost certainly the biggest discount we’ll see on gift cards before GTA 6 launches on November 19, and therefore the best deal available. In other words: If you want the ultimate edition of GTA 6 and want the best deal possible, now is the time to buy.
Once you have purchased the gift card (making sure to use the promo code to redeem the offer), you should receive a code via email within an hour (I just did this and my code arrived six minutes after placing the order). You can use this code on the PlayStation Store to get a $100 credit. To do this, simply make sure you are logged in and click on your avatar in the upper right corner of the page. This will open a drop-down menu with the option “Redeem Code”, where you can paste your code.
Now that you have your funds, head over to the Grand Theft Auto 6 page (your choice of Standard Edition or Ultimate Edition) and pre-order the game. Then you’re all set.

What do you get with the Ultimate Edition? To quote Rockstar, it includes “an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, clothing and action that spans every aspect of Jason and Lucia’s story.” Here’s a full overview.
Although you won’t be able to play the game until it releases on November 19, you will be able to preload it on your PS5 starting on November 12. This gives you a week to download it before launch, so you don’t have to worry about network slowness once the game is available. Then, once November 19th rolls around, the game will unlock and you can play the biggest game of the year.
If you’d rather have a physical copy, that’s cool – but I don’t expect any deals or discounts to be available anywhere on physical copies. It’s also worth noting that Grand Theft Auto 6 is only available digitally. Although Rockstar sells you a “physical copy” (see it on Amazon), all you really get is a game box containing a download code. No game discs are being printed. So if you want to save $15, this PlayStation Store credit deal is the one to buy.
