DETROIT — Ford engine is expected to announce its third-quarter results after the market closes on Wednesday.
Here’s what Wall Street expects, based on average analyst estimates compiled by LSEG:
- Earnings per share: 40 cents adjusted, estimated
- Automotive turnover: $46.24 billion estimated
These results would mark a 2% decline in revenue from a year earlier and an approximately 11% decline in adjusted earnings per share. Ford’s third-quarter 2025 results included automotive revenue of $47.19 billion, net income of $2.4 billion and adjusted earnings per share of 45 cents.
Investors will primarily focus on Ford’s F-series pickup trucks, including its crucial F-150. The automaker is recovering from supplier issues that affected truck production for much of last year, but experienced a disruption in F-150 manufacturing due to a separate, unrelated supplier issue near the end of September.
Ford announced that production of the F-150 declined from more than 57,500 units in August to less than 43,000 in September. The automaker said the disruption was “manageable” within its existing adjusted profit guidance for 2026.
Wall Street analysts generally expect Ford to maintain its 2026 outlook, but they differ on how halting F-150 production will ultimately affect the automaker’s third-quarter results. They also monitor any changes or surprises in the company’s warranty costs.
Ford’s 2026 guidance includes adjusted earnings before interest and taxes of between $10 billion and $11 billion and adjusted free cash flow of between $6 billion and $7 billion.
