Kim Kardashian had a gun to her head after Kanye West sparked terrifying incident during Africa trip: biographer

Kim Kardashian allegedly had a gun pointed at her head during a terrifying trip to Africa in 2018 with then-husband Kanye West, her biographer claims.

Journalist Jonathan Van Meter details the alleged incident in his book “Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future,” released Tuesday, writing that “things reached a point of no return” between Kardashian and West last October.

“Farnaz Farjam, the executive producer of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians,’ told me she first realized how bad things were for the couple during a trip to Africa in 2018,” Van Meter writes. “They were filming in a remote location in Uganda when Kanye became paranoid and agitated.”

“Farnaz Farjam, the executive producer of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians,’ told me she first realized how bad things were for the couple during a trip to Africa in 2018. They were filming in a remote location in Uganda when Kanye became paranoid and agitated,” writes journalist Jonathan Van Meter in his book “Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future” (seen above).

According to the book, Farjam told Van Meter: “Basically, he made the local police believe that there were people trying to drug him, so they came and they had their guns out. He had them raid everyone’s rooms.”

Van Meter writes that at one point during the alleged incident, “one of the officers put a gun to Kim’s head,” which Farjam described as “intense.”

“I ended up having to get on a private jet and get my crew out of there,” she added, according to Van Meter’s book.

Van Meter writes that Farjam ultimately “forgave Kanye for the African fiasco “because he lives with bipolar disorder and was in a manic place.”

Page Six reached out to West’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.

Kardashian, 46, and West, 49, married in 2014 before finalizing their divorce in 2022. They share four children: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.

Elsewhere in Van Meter’s book, Kardashian opened up about the “big burden” of co-parenting with her ex-husband.

“Oh, I worry about (Kanye) all day. All the time. He’s the father of my children, I will never worry about him,” Kardashian told Van Meter. “And it’s a big burden to have kids with someone you don’t necessarily get along with. My kids would never know that.”

She also admitted that she was trying to forget “all the negative things that happened” while maintaining boundaries with West.

“It went pretty well for a while. I guess because we don’t talk a lot. But when we see each other, we hug,” Kardashian told Van Meter.
