Good shade comes in small packages.
Joan Smalls took to Instagram on Tuesday with a pointed message about accountability amid a major argument with model pal Candice Swanepoel over Tom Brady.
“This Halloween I’m dressing up as the manager. Apparently it’s the scariest thing some people can face,” the post read.
It appeared that Smalls had reposted another content creator’s note.
The post came just hours after Page Six exclusively revealed that Smalls was furious after learning Swanepoel was dating the former New England Patriots quarterback.
Smalls herself had a fling with the NFL star, but a source told Page Six that Smalls and Brady were never really serious.
According to our source, Swanepoel encouraged Smalls to dump Brady – who was previously married to Gisele Bündchen – while the two were dating.
Now Smalls tells his friends they have to choose sides. In since-deleted comments posted on social media and obtained by DeuxMoi, she also called her former friend of 15 years a “traitor.”
In another since-deleted post shared by the outlet, Smalls lamented the “girl code.”
“And the lack of respect and carelessness in the way they treat you is unimaginable. There is no going back. Some people lack humility and moral sense,” she added.
“And the way they gaslight, lie and downplay your feelings is the worst slap in the face after 15 years or a friendship. No sorry said or written. Onward and upward!!!” » concludes his comment.
Additionally, Smalls also referenced “Summer House” in a comment on social media. The most recent season of the Bravo show saw Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula’s friendship go up in smoke when the latter began secretly dating West Wilson, the former’s ex.
However, despite what Smalls may think about the situation, it seems like Swanepoel and Brady’s relationship is still going strong.
Sources told Page Six that the seven-time Super Bowl champion and Swanepoel had actually been together “for months” after being set up by a mutual friend.
“Candice has always been exceptionally private about her personal life, always focusing on raising her children,” Amanda Ruisi, Swanepoel’s rep, told us Tuesday. “She and Joan share a long-standing history and friendship that Candice will always respect.”
Page Six has reached out to representatives for Smalls, Brady and Swanepoel for comment.
