It seems all was not well at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show earlier this month. Candice Swanepoel and Joan Smalls, two longtime Angels who have been friends for over a decade, reportedly had a falling out, and according to some very pointed comments from Smalls on Instagram, it has something to do with Tom Brady.
Rumors that a rift was brewing between the two models surfaced last week, when DeuxMoi claimed that Smalls had unfollowed Swanepoel on Instagram. After the DeuxMoi rumor, screenshots of comments Smalls allegedly posted and then deleted — including one in which she appeared to call Swanepoel a “traitor” — began circulating online. Neither Swanepoel nor Brady have spoken publicly about their relationship. In a statement to The Cut, a rep for Swanepoel said, “She and Joan share a long-standing history and friendship that Candice will always respect.
