The Washington Capitals picked up a rare road victory by edging the Nashville Predators on Thursday night. It was a good match.

Filip Forsberg scored his 10th goal in his 22nd career game against the Washington Capitals, on a one-timer at the end of a long power play session. Cole Hutson restored the balance with an improbable shot from the outside.

Boone Jenner pushed back a few Preds in the paint to give Washington a brief second-period lead, negated by Filip Forsberg’s 11th goal in his 22nd career game against the Washington Capitals because the Caps couldn’t get the puck out of their own zone. Coming down the bar, Hutson scored a goal for the Caps heading into the third.

A rush online allowed Russ Colton, which is not the name of a tertiary character in the world Yellow stoneto restore equality. Midway through the third, after Juuse Saros misplayed the puck, Alex Tuch scored his tenth goal of the young season.

The Caps beat the Predators 4-3!

  • We were lied to โ€“ blatantly โ€“ about the start time of this game. There is no more accountability in public life. This is why trust in public institutions is eroding.
  • โ€œBad angle โ€“ SCOAR!โ€ ยป that’s how Joe B said it when Cole Hutson scored the first of his two goals. Both were stunning shots โ€“ the first incredibly wide, the second on a top shelf. We crane our necks looking for Hutson’s skill ceiling.
  • It was Cole Hutson’s first two-goal game. He took the lead in points among rookie defensemen, seven, ahead of the aptly named Oliver Bonk.
  • A week ago, the key statistic for Jack St. Ivany was 98.6. Warm body. For the second game in a row (and the second night in a row), he had two assists.
  • Much has been said about Alex Ovechkin’s sunset season so far. He hasn’t scored since October 11, but he looked good in this one. His response with Ilya Protas and Beauvillier hit the mark.
  • Unsurprisingly, the line with Boone Jenner, Justin Sourdif and Ryan Leonard was the best.
  • With his goal Alex Tuch becomes the fifth player to score double-digit goals this season. All the guys before him make over 13 million, except Artturi Lehkonen, who is relatively poor at 4.5 million.
  • Pregame coverage said the Caps had wins in “each” of Charlie Lindgren’s last two starts. Make it three. He was fine.
  • Congratulations to Barry Trotz on his brilliant career. I don’t even remember the time he played Weber against Schmidt in the playoffs and then Weber choked and Hornqvist scored in overtime and then Weber immediately gave up.

Fun game. Hutson has skills, Boone has courage, Tuch has none. disabled button.

We have a mid-afternoon game on Sunday against the very, very good Minnesota Wild. I hope your hangover is gone thanks to the puck, you better be on time, dammit.
