Apple avoids showing pinched fingers on iPad Mini page in South Korea

In the United States and most other countries, Apple’s website shows the new iPad mini held with pinched fingers, but that’s not the case in South Korea.

On its South Korean site, Apple simply shows an image of the iPad mini alone.

Apple also omitted pinched fingers from its South Korean website for the iPhone Air in 2025, but they remain visible on its US website.

In South Korea, a pinching gesture or emoji has reportedly been interpreted by some as a symbol used to mock the size of male genitalia.

Apple has not commented on this matter.
