Following his release from the New York Giants, Odell Beckham Jr. has found a new home with the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced Wednesday.
Beckham will initially join Minnesota’s practice squad while Justin Jefferson continues to nurse an ankle injury.
Jordan Schultz was the first to announce the news.
Beckham signed with the Giants in June, establishing a reunion between him and the team he spent his best years with. He made the 53-man roster before the season, but it quickly became apparent that he wasn’t going to play a significant role in the offensive game plan.
Beckham played only a handful of snaps and had only one target in the Giants’ first few games, and the team ultimately released him on September 29. The decision to part ways was reportedly mutual as Beckham considered a bigger role elsewhere.
At 33, Beckham is no longer the All-Pro caliber player he once was, but he has the potential to make an impact on his new team.
Beckham didn’t play during the 2025 season and had limited reps with the Miami Dolphins in 2024, but he had 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023, and he’ll look to have that kind of production with Minnesota.
The Vikings are 3-1 and will face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
