Happy Halloween! ‘Tis the season for scares, and we’re lucky enough that the best holiday of all falls on a Saturday this year. It’s a rare treat. This undoubtedly means that many people will be dressed up and partying around town. Or, of course, handing out candy to treats around the world. But for those who want to stay inside and get a little scared with a horror movie, we’ve got you covered. More specifically, with some selections for slasher fans.
Now, it would be easy to recommend John Carpenter’s brilliant masterpiece, Halloween, or any of the Friday the 13th films. However, this list is designed to be more holistic, featuring selections from different decades, cut from different cloths. Some of them are well known, while others are hidden gems. None of them are among the most obvious selections you can find. We’re here to help slasher fans find something slightly off the beaten path to enhance their holiday viewing.
All of these movies are currently streaming, so they’re easy to watch, too. We’re not going to make this difficult. Let’s go, okay?
