Poll: Americans don’t trust polls

That’s what just happened, according to the results of a new poll: Americans don’t trust polls.

Only 25% of Americans said political surveys correctly estimated votes, according to a new POLITICO pollled by PF Global. The result reveals that a significant portion of the public lacks trust in the industry as it is accused of failing to reach Republican voters.

This comes in the middle of an intensely scrutinized 2026 midterm cycle, where public polling and internal campaign polls have shown many elections. within the margin of error on key battlefields and in once-safe red territory.
