A 31-year-old woman has been identified as the person killed in Friday’s mass shooting at a Spirit Halloween store in downtown Solano in Fairfield.

The woman, Constance Hages, was pregnant at the time of her death, the family told police.

Fairfield police also shared more details Saturday about the six others injured in the shooting, ranging in age from 16 to 43.

They included a 16-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, all of whom remained hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

Two other victims, a 19-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, were released from the hospital after being treated for gunshot wounds.

No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting, which police responded to at 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday morning, police said they believed the shooting stemmed from a targeted incident involving a suspect inside Spirit Halloween.

Detectives are still reviewing video footage and other evidence to identify the person responsible, the department said.

A witness told KCRA 3’s Denzen Cortez that his wife, who was inside the Spirit Halloween store, heard gunshots and people running.

“I think she told me there were about five, six, seven gunshots as people were running,” the witness said.

Another witness, Miena Davis, said she heard a series of popping noises shortly after entering the store. A second round followed and the buyers started running.

“Everything froze and we were like, ‘What was that?’” Davis said. “And then another burst of the same sound was heard, and then a group of customers started running.”

Davis said the people forced open a door leading to the mall, allowing them to escape. She left her car in the parking lot overnight as she ran to safety.

“It was immediate panic,” Davis said. “You heard a mother screaming for her child. And it was so surreal.”

Downtown Solano announced it had canceled its planned Mall-O-Ween event in light of the shooting. However, the mall will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The FBI in Sacramento said it was deploying its evidence response team to assist Fairfield police in their investigation.

Other law enforcement agencies that responded included Suisun City Police and the California Highway Patrol.
