Jaquan Brisker on Jared Verse: He should have kept his mouth shut

Browns defensive end Jared Verse I spokebut he didn’t confirm it, and the Steelers let him know as much on the field and in their postgame comments.

The Steelers beat the Browns 27-6, and Verse totaled an assist and a quarterback hit.

“He should have kept his mouth shut” said Steelers safety Jaquan Brisker, via video from Ashley Wenskoski of Pittsburgh Sports Tonight. “All this talk, then coming out with zero tackles, it’s bad. You have not kept your words and you have not kept your promises. He needs to look in the mirror and get better.

Verse spoke after the Browns’ 27-24 win over the Steelers in Week 4, calling Pittsburgh’s offensive line dirty. He spoke again last week, saying he wasn’t worried about “anyone on their team” and that the Browns were going to “make Pittsburgh ours…Sunday.”

“We didn’t really pay attention to it,” running back Jaylen Warren said, via video from Penn Live’s Nick Farabaugh. “Some are walking. Some speak.”

Verse, who was part of the Rams’ trade for Myles Garrett in June, recorded no sacks and six quarterback hits in eight games.
