Whitney Rose filed for divorce from husband Justin Rose on Tuesday, ending nearly 17 years of marriage. The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star submitted legal documents to the Salt Lake Department’s Third District Court, according to court records obtained by Page Six.
The 40-year-old reality TV personality also filed a proposed parenting plan for the couple’s two children: daughter Bobbie, 16, and son Brooks, 13. Justin Rose, 58, has three sons from a previous marriage.
The couple married in November 2009 and had been living separately for months before the filing. Whitney moved into the spare bedroom of their house in February, and by May had established a rotating schedule with Justin between their primary residence and an apartment to maintain consistency for their children. Reports from July indicated that the two were living separate lives, with insiders saying the two were rarely together, even when in the same location, according to Page Six.
Their marital struggles played out during the current season of the Bravo series. In a recent episode, Whitney admitted to “suffering” after a difficult 2025 and confessed that she was “using alcohol to cope with my struggles at home.” In a confessional, she said disagreements over business matters “snowballed into arguments about everything” and led her to conclude she needed “space away from Justin.”
Financial pressures appear to have contributed to the rift, Page Six noted. Whitney has launched several businesses, including Wild Rose Beauty and Sōl People. Justin, now president of Awakend, was fired from an executive position at LifeVantage Corporation shortly after a scene featuring the couple aired during the show’s second season. Whitney previously said Justin had been out of work for a year, significantly changing the dynamic of their household.
The divorce filing contradicts Whitney’s previous public statements, Page Six said. During a January 2025 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” she told host Andy Cohen that divorce speculation had “been circulating for five years” and insisted Justin was “not going anywhere.”
