Red Magic 12 Pro+ full design revealed ahead of October 15 launch
Red Magic has officially revealed the full design of the upcoming Red Magic 12 Pro+ ahead of its October 15 launch. The company introduced the phone in three transparent-inspired color options while showcasing its flat back design and uninterrupted display. The new flagship will also focus heavily on gaming performance and thermal management.
Red Magic 12 Pro+ color variants revealed

The Red Magic 12 Pro+ will be available in three finishes: Transparent Dark Night, Transparent Silver Wing and Transparent Ice Blue. The phone retains the brand’s iconic flat back panel design, but the most notable change is the fully flush-mounted camera module. The rear cameras don’t protrude from the body, giving the phone a sharper appearance and a more uniform profile.
Red Magic also continues its true full-screen design, using a front camera under the screen instead of a hole or notch. The company showed off its ninth generation under-display camera technology, while the black border around the screen has been reduced from 1.25mm on the previous generation to just 0.96mm. This should provide a more immersive viewing area, especially during gaming and video playback.
The phone will also feature RGB liquid cooling, with a transparent rear design allowing parts of the internal cooling structure to remain visible. This is complemented by an air cooling system designed to help maintain performance during sustained workloads. Red Magic is positioning this combination as a major part of the phone’s gaming-focused hardware.
At its core, the Red Magic 12 Pro+ will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 mobile platform. The same device recently appeared on Geekbench 7 under the Nubia NX819J model number, recording 3,677 points in the single-core test and 12,679 points in the multi-core test. These results currently place it ahead of other smartphones tested with the same chipset.
Red Magic previously reported that the 12 Pro+ will be lighter, thinner, narrower and more rounded than its predecessor. Leaks have also suggested an 8,400mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging, although these specifications have not been officially confirmed.
The Red Magic 12 Pro+ will be officially launched in China on October 15 at 2:30 p.m. local time. The company has already opened reservations through its official website and JD.com, although retail prices have not yet been announced.
Chinese buyers can pay 100 yuan ($15) to reserve the phone and unlock promotional benefits worth up to 4,300 yuan ($641), including a Red Magic Cooler 8 Pro, gaming benefits, cashback and trade-in incentives. Red Magic has not yet revealed details of the global launch or availability of the 12 Pro+.
