A couple appeared bloodied after an argument with elderly visitors escalated into a violent confrontation at a tourist hotspot in China.
The two were allegedly involved in an argument with a 62-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman on the viewing platform of the Five-Colored Pond in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, Sichuan on November 2.
Dramatic footage shows a man in a blue jacket repeatedly punching another man in a purple top during the heated altercation.
Another clip shows the young couple with blood covering their faces as other visitors gather to help them.
The argument reportedly began when the two older men attempted to bypass the queue while taking photos at the popular viewing spot.
The young couple allegedly challenged them for cutting in line, sparking an argument that eventually turned physical.
Both men and one of the older visitors were injured during the chaos. All three received medical treatment and were later confirmed out of danger.
Both parties were taken to the police station for investigation and later agreed to mediation.
Officers said those involved admitted their mistakes, apologized to each other and reached an agreement following discussions.
Authorities urged visitors to remain calm, communicate politely and avoid letting disagreements escalate into violence.
