Some GTA 6 fans can get a free internet upgrade to download the game faster

Spectrum customers can get a free internet upgrade this month to download GTA 6 faster.

The company announced earlier this week that it would offer a free “Gig Speed Lift” from November 9 to 30 for existing customers. This will allow players to download the game within 30 minutes. So if you plan to buy the game on day one or later in November, this will save you a ton of time. Or, if you just want to see your preload complete incredibly quickly, that’s also an option. You can click here to learn more about how to activate this offer if you are a Spectrum user.

GTA 6 preload begins on November 10 and it will be a real beast of a game in terms of download size. Rockstar has confirmed that the game is 212GB, almost a quarter of the size of an average PS5 (not including the space required for the operating system and other console requirements). Given that fans are expecting a fairly massive open world with plenty to see and do, the size makes sense. As a result, fans will want to take full advantage of the nine-day preload window or take advantage of this Spectrum deal so they can play as soon as possible.

GTA 6 launch screenshots

We’re officially only two weeks away from the launch of GTA 6. Rockstar released 39 new screenshots of the game earlier today, showing off Vice City, Jason and Lucia in action, as well as a whole bunch of crime. The screenshots also revealed that rapper Kodak Black would be in the game as an NPC, fueling speculation that other musical artists would be in the mix. Characters like Dr. Dre, Phil Collins, and others have all been featured prominently in-game in other GTA titles, so it’s not a stretch to imagine celebrities in a modern-day Vice City.

It’s unclear what else Rockstar has up its sleeve as we get closer to launch, as it released what appears to be the final trailer back in October. Some fans are expecting to hear about PS5 Pro upgrades before release, but beyond that, we appear to be at the end of this long marketing road.
