KATSEYE postpones Chicago and Minneapolis shows days after Detroit show canceled
KATSEYE has postponed two concerts in Chicago and Minneapolis, respectively, during their ongoing “Wildworld” concert tour. They announced it on their girl group’s Instagram story (via Variety) and cited the reason. It appears that band member Megan Skiendiel suffered a concussion. “The label has made the decision to postpone our shows in Chicago and Minneapolis while Megan recovers from a concussion,” they wrote.
Additionally, the band apologized to their fans, acknowledging their excitement about attending the concerts. “We will announce the rescheduled dates as soon as possible, so please hold on to your tickets. We look forward to seeing you again soon in both cities. Thank you for your continued love, support and understanding,” the message concludes.
This week, KATSEYE was scheduled to perform at the United Center in Chicago and the Target Center in Minneapolis. But Skiendiel fell ill, postponing the shows to later dates. The new times have not yet been announced. However, in the respective sites’ social media announcements, they asked fans to hold on to their tickets.
This is the group’s third cancellation. On Monday, KATSEYE postponed her show at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. It was also because Skiendiel was not well.
For those who don’t know, KATSEYE consists of six members: Sophia Laforteza, Manon Bannerman, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung. However, Laforteza has taken a break from her promotional activities for the time being. She made the announcement in August, citing her mental well-being as the reason. Before her, Bannerman also temporarily stepped aside to “focus on her health and well-being.”
