Jax seeks $17,000 in spousal support and $260,000 in legal fees from Brittany
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Taylor wants Cartwright to pay her $17,401 per month in spousal support. It also asks him to cover $250,000 in attorney fees and another $10,000 for a forensic accountant. Taylor claims he is unemployed and has no stable source of income. He also accuses Cartwright of leading a campaign to portray him as an “abuser.”
Taylor alleges the campaign damaged his reputation and cost him professional opportunities. He claims to have lost a role in Special Forces and that Carpe Deodorant has chosen not to renew its partnership with him. However, his financial records reportedly show an average monthly income of $30,334 over the past year. He estimates his monthly expenses at $28,944.
Taylor also provided financial information about his assets and Cartwright’s business income. He says he has $464,671 in several bank accounts, as well as $193,471 in other assets. He estimates Cartwright’s business generated $632,775 in gross revenue between Jan. 1 and May 31. These figures are part of his financial statements supporting his claim for alimony in the divorce.
The dispute also involves decisions regarding their son, Cruz. Taylor says he plans to ask the court to strip Cartwright of decisive authority over their son’s medical care. He cites what he describes as “new knowledge” of neglect and unreasonable delays related to Cruz’s care and school enrollment.
A hearing on these requests is scheduled for December 30. Taylor also recently requested that a judge declare him legally single while remaining divorce issues are resolved. Cartwright filed for divorce in August 2024.
