Fitness influencer Bradley Martyn is facing a request for a restraining order from model Noelle Leyva, who alleges he punched her in the chest and pushed her to the ground during a Halloween party in Los Angeles. Leyva claims the confrontation left her scared, anxious and fearful for her life, while Martyn’s lawyer insists his client categorically disputes her version of events.
What happened according to Leyva
According to TMZ, the alleged confrontation happened around 12:30 a.m. during a Halloween party hosted by boxer Ryan Garcia and streamer N3on. Leyva claims a girl called her to speak at the party and that Martyn then told her to leave before hitting and pushing her. Pursuant to her request for a civil restraining order for harassment, as detailed in a New York Post report, Martyn allegedly punched her in the chest and pushed her to the ground.
Leyva’s filing reportedly indicates the altercation left no visible marks on her body, but she said she felt scared, anxious and humiliated after the incident. The TMZ report says three witnesses provided statements supporting her account, with one saying Martyn used both hands to push her backwards. Separately, according to the Post’s filing, Leyva’s boyfriend, Colin Hughes, wrote that Martyn forcefully pushed Leyva and she fell down the stairs, adding that she did not physically provoke him; Hughes and others reportedly submitted affidavits to the court claiming to have witnessed the altercation.
A years-old trade dispute
Leyva said she met Martyn about five years before the Post article, when she was 20 and he was 32. She alleges that Martyn told her he could help her become more famous and make more money, and that the two struck a business deal. Leyva ended that deal in 2023, according to the Post, and Martyn later sued her over her exit from the deal before dismissing the lawsuit in May of that year.
Leyva alleges in his filing that Martyn had held a grudge against her for years because of the failed partnership and that he had told friends and acquaintances that he wanted her dead because of what she had done to him. She said that at first she did not take his threats seriously. The Post report said Martyn had more than 4 million followers on Instagram at the time, according to Leyva’s filing.
What Leyva is asking the court to order
Leyva asked the court to order Martyn to stay at least 50 meters away from her, her home, her work and her vehicle. She also wants the court to prohibit him from defaming her on social media directly or through proxies and from posting negative comments about her, her life and her friends. Under California law, courts across the state rely on a common set of forms for this type of request, according to the California Courts Self Help Guide.
Martyn’s lawyer hits back with force
Martyn has denied the allegations. His attorney, Charles Lew, said Martyn categorically disputed Leyva’s account of what happened on Oct. 29, and said several witnesses present would instead corroborate Martyn’s version. Lew went further, calling the petition a misguided and deceptive attempt to extort money from his client, according to the Post’s reporting.
Police investigation and unresolved timeline
TMZ reports that an assault and battery report was filed with the Los Angeles Police Department on October 29 and that detectives were investigating the incident, although no charges have been announced. The New York Post dates the Los Angeles gathering where the alleged incident occurred to October 29.
The Post report includes physical descriptions from the case: Martyn is approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 260 pounds, while Leyva is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 100 pounds. Leyva is 25 years old; Martyn is 37 years old.
