Kim Kardashianit’s new Skimmed The Advent calendar is going live after a TikTok user uploaded an unboxing video of all 12 days.
The viral video has over 34 million views at the time of writing, not to mention thousands of comments. The video shows the designer opening the Skims Accessories Advent Calendar, which costs $148, and becoming increasingly frustrated as he goes through each festive pocket.
She opens each one on camera and becomes visibly disappointed as she reveals items like bra straps, scrunchies, key chains, hair clips, a comb, and a foam squishy, among other things.
People think that the Advent calendar is really too expensive for what it actually offers.
Most commenters were frustrated by the price, arguing that $148 is outrageous compared to what they believe to be the items’ actual combined value. But to be honest, the official Skimmed The website calls it an “accessories” Advent calendar and the description indicates what type of items are included.
“A dozen reasons to celebrate. Countdown to the holidays with this SKIMS Accessories Advent Calendar, featuring twelve days of fun surprises. From hair accessories to keychains and more, unbox a mix of playful items and everyday favorites. All packaged in a festive Advent Calendar box,” he shares.
A few people praised the creator for purchasing it and doing an unboxing, noting that it probably saved others money.
“$150 is WILD for maybe $20 worth of stuff,” one person wrote, while another commenter likened it all to “TEMU” junk.
“They played you to your face, girl, but you just saved so many people money,” another user said.
One person called the Advent calendar a “box full of jokes” and another said: “So basically anything that falls between my car seats.” » Both comments received over a million likes.
“This is everything I just threw out while decluttering my nightstand,” someone wrote.
