The high school football game ends with three fullbacks, a tricked defense, and the highest IQ play you’ve ever seen.

The high school football regular season is officially over across the country.

As Bill Belichick would say, we are in the playoffs.

That’s correct. Hard to believe, but the playoffs are underway in much of the country, and everyone will be following suit next week. Over the next few weeks, champions will be crowned almost everywhere.

INSANE ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME SEES 172-POINT EXPLOSION BEFORE FORCES OF DARKNESS CHANGE LOCATION

It feels like we just started this journey in August, and here we are – less than three weeks from Thanksgiving – ready to launch into the playoffs. Time flies when you’re having fun!

I’ve taken it upon myself here at OutKick to highlight at least one high school football game/player/story every weekend of the season. These guys are all about to become millionaires with the stupid NIL rules, so you might as well get a head start and start identifying them early.

It’s been quite an adventure. No matter your age, nothing beats high school football. In a world where deals suck, this is the last pure form of amateur athletics left.

So far this season we’ve seen a wild Hail Mary in Florida, an entire California team suspended because the mascot pulled the bird at some fans, a giant running back in Kentucky smashing heads, the best running back in the country from Tennessee and last week, an 88-84 playoff game against Illinois.

88-84!

Today, let’s head to South Dakota (FOOTBALL COUNTRY!) and witness the craziest landing I’ve personally ever seen.

Find out this child’s IQ:

That’s why you have to know the rules

Just the best. Then again, it doesn’t get much better than high school football. You can have your Saturdays and Sundays. Give me a Football Friday any day of the week.

The best part? This winner was for a trip to the 9A state title game in South Dakota. Lord. What a feeling!

Let’s dive in…

I count three fullbacks before the final touchdown, which, frankly, isn’t a ton. It’s a fairly docile game in terms of full-backs. Fairly short and simple.

Until, of course, you get to the kid at the end who made the decision to win the game with an IQ of 200 when he acted like it was an incomplete pass. The defense fell asleep and started celebrating, only for this genius to then get the ball and run down the sideline for a game-winning score.

The ball was very clearly thrown backwards, so there wasn’t really a question. The defense obviously had a different angle, so maybe it looked like a forward pass.

But that doesn’t matter. You play until the final whistle. You put a helmet on a helmet and a hat on the ball until the referee makes you stop. Just because the receiver stopped playing doesn’t mean you stop playing.

It’s not him who makes this decision, it’s the referee who does.

How about rocks on the kicker to score that extra point with everything on the line? By the way, extra points in high school football are not a gift. I would say you would miss at least one game, if not more.

So it wasn’t a layup, and the kid buried it. Warrior.

PS: I hate to point it out, but how about the kid who caught the initial pass lights up like a Christmas tree after returning it? He was hit so hard that the crowd groaned audibly.

Patriot.
