Joe Rogan renews multi-year partnership at Spotify

Joe Rogan has renewed his partnership with Spotify.

The leading podcast host has entered into a new multi-year licensing deal with the platform, which will continue to see episodes of his show distributed on Spotify and widely. Spotify did not reveal the financial terms of the partnership, but The Wall Street Journal estimates the deal at $250 million, citing sources familiar with the matter.

“The partnership with Spotify has been a perfect fit, and they are incredible to work with. I am extremely happy and excited to continue with them for years to come,” said Rogan.

Spotify and Rogan signed a first deal in 2020, which saw The Joe Rogan Show exclusively available on Spotify. In 2024, as Spotify dissolves its other exclusive agreements, The Joe Rogan Show was widely distributed.

The podcast has 18 million followers on Spotify, making it the most followed podcast on the platform. It is the most listened to podcast in the United States since 2019, according to Edison Research, and topped the 2025 lists of Spotify, YouTube and Apple Podcast. Each episode lasts two to three hours and has seen Rogan host comedians, athletes, actors, musicians and politicians, including then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, as well as Elon Musk. The show caused some controversy. In 2022, musician Neil Young and others removed their music from Spotify due to what Young called vaccine misinformation spread by Rogan on the podcast.

“Joe has built something incredibly sustainable, and his show continues to resonate with a massive global audience because there’s simply nothing like it. Spotify’s podcast business has grown alongside JRE over the years, and we’re excited to continue growing this partnership for years to come,” said Jordan Newman, Head of Content Partnerships at Spotify.
