Nottingham Forest 3-1 Man City: how the players rated

Gianluigi Donnarumma: Another match without a clean sheet, three more conceded. Aerially suspicious too. Not having a good season. 4

Abdukodir Khusanov: It looks awkward when moved to the right, before being brought back inside. 4

Rubén Dias: A desperate attempt to try and block Delap’s goal summed up his – and his team’s – poor performance. 4

Marc Guéhi: Part of a City defense that was all over the place in the first half before hanging on at half-time. 4

Josko Gvardiol: Not in great shape at the moment. Gentle with the ball from the start when he saw his pocket picked out by Cunha for Forest’s opener and was also substituted. 4

Elliot Anderson: Made an unfortunate return to the City Ground where he lost the midfield battle. 5

Enzo Fernández: A truly disappointing performance. He should have scored a goal but sent his header in from close range. The midfield appears to lack balance with him and Anderson on the sidelines. 5

Jérémie Doku: Munoz got no changeups and produced very little. 5

Iliman Ndiaye: A missed interception led to Forest’s second goal and did not contribute much to the attack. It’s not his best match. 5

Rayan Cherki: Pulled a goal back for City with a stunning second-half finish. 6

Erling Haaland: Had a few chances but not his best performance in front of goal. 5

Submarines:

Matheus Nunes (45, Guehi) Failed to get a foothold on Delap for Forest’s third. 5

Nico O’Reilly (out of 45, Gvardiol) With Gvardiol fragile, will the Englishman be entitled to a series of team matches? 6

Phil Foden (out of 76, Fernandez) 6

Unused subs: Geronimo Rulli, Mateo Kovacic, Vitor Reis, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Allan, Rico Lewis.
